GOLD PANNER'S RAISIN BARS 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
2 c. cold coffee
2 c. raisins
1 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg

Combine sugar, butter, cold coffee, raisins, cloves and cinnamon. Cook until the mixture boils, stirring often. Cool, then add remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
