BANANA CREME PIE 
1 baked 9 inch pie shell
2 c. milk
1/4 c. white Karo syrup
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 scant tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar

Heat 1 3/4 cups milk with syrup in heavy saucepan. Then in a small bowl blend sugar, salt, cornstarch and flour. Then add 1/4 cup milk and egg yolks, beat until smooth. Add to heated milk and cook until thick. Add a scant tablespoon butter and vanilla. Slice banana on bottom of crust and a few more slices on top of custard. Beat egg whites stiff, add 6 tablespoons sugar gradually. Brown in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
