STUFFED TURKEY ROLL | |
MEAT: 1 lb. ground turkey 1 egg 1/2 c. quick rolled oats 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning STUFFING: 2 c. dry bread cubes 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. chopped celery 1/2 tsp. sage 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/4 c. butter 3 slices bacon Turkey Mixture: Mix ground turkey, egg, rolled oats, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. Pat mixture onto a piece of waxed paper and shape it into a 12"x9" rectangle. Stuffing: Fry onion and celery in butter. Mix with bread cubes, sage and poultry seasoning. Spread mixture on top of turkey rectangle. Starting at narrow end, roll up meat mixture like a jelly roll. Seal well at ends. Transfer roll, seam side down, to greased baking dish. Lay halves of bacon strips on top of roll. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Serve with chicken or turkey gravy. |
