1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 3 egg yolks 1 c. chopped raisins 1 c. chopped walnut meats 1 tsp. vanilla extract Few grains salt 1 egg white Pastry Cream the butter; add sugar gradually, continuing to cream until smooth. Beat egg yolks; stir into creamed butter. Stir in raisins, walnut meats, vanilla extract and salt. Beat egg white stiff but not dry; fold in the mixture. Line individual tart pans with pastry; fill 2/3 full with filling mixture. Bake in hot oven (400 degrees) for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to moderate (350 degree) bake 15 minutes longer. Makes 8 to 9 tarts. |
