SCOTCH SHORTBREAD 
6 c. flour
1 lb. butter
1 c. sugar

Cream butter. Add sugar and cream well. Add flour and mix thoroughly with hands. Roll dough onto a cookie sheet. Prick with fork all over top. Bake 45- 50 minutes at 300 degrees. The top does not brown. Remove from oven and cut into squares while still hot.
