UTAH GRANNY CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple with juice

Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Cover top with 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup nuts; optional. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Ten minutes before the cake is done, bring to a boil in a saucepan: 1 tsp. vanilla 5 1/2 oz. evaporated milk 1/2 c. sugar

Pour over cake. Let soak in about 30 minutes.
