1 1/2 c. butter (3 sticks)
5 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. sweet milk
1 tbsp. vanilla

Cream butter, eggs and sugar, dropping the eggs into the mixture one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together, 3 times. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk into creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Bake 1 1/2 hours in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees.
