DANISH APPLE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. chopped apples
1/2 c. nuts (pecans)

Cream butter with sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Sift in flour with soda, salt and cloves. Add apples and nuts. Mix thoroughly. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 325 degrees for 35 minutes.
