BUFFET CASSEROLE | |
14 to 15 slices white sandwich bread 1 lb. chopped ham, broiled or baked 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese 2 (3 oz.) cans chopped green chilies 7 eggs 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt 3 c. milk 1 c. crushed corn flakes (enough to cover) 1/4 c. melted butter Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove crusts from bread. Cut slice in half. Place 1/2 bread in butter Pyrex dish (3 quart). Layer with ham, Cheddar, Monterey Jack, and green chilies. Let stand in refrigerator 12 hours (overnight). Before baking, cover with corn flakes and drizzle with butter. Bake 30 to 40 minutes. Serves 8 to 12 people. |
