DATE UPSIDE CAKE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. pitted dates
1 tsp. butter
1 tsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. hot water
Chopped nuts

Cream 1 cup brown sugar with 1 tsp. butter. Add cake flour, baking powder, milk and dates. Pour into ungreased pyrex pan.

Combine 1 tsp. butter, 1 cup brown sugar and hot water. Pour over above mixture and sprinkle nuts on top. Bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
