2 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 1/4 c. unsalted butter 3 c. pecan pieces 1 c. light brown sugar 1/2 c. condensed milk 1/4 tsp. salt Butter sides of a heavy saucepan and combine sugars and milks with butter and salt. Slowly bring mixture to a rolling boil over medium heat. Add pecans and continue boiling until candy reaches soft ball stage (234 degrees). Remove from heat and stir until candy becomes creamy. Spoon out on buttered waxed paper. Allow to cool. Yields 6 dozen. |
