DANISH PUFF PASTRY 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
3 eggs
Sugar Glaze
Chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Measure 1 cup flour into bowl; cut in 1/2 cup butter. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons water over mixture; mix with fork. Round into ball; divide in half. On greased baking sheet, pat each half into strips, 12 x 3 inches, 3 inches apart.

In saucepan combine 1/2 cup butter and 1 cup water; heat to boiling. Remove from heat; stir in almond extract. Beat in 1 cup flour, stirring quickly to keep from lumping. When smooth add eggs, one at a time, beating after each until smooth. Divide in half; spread each half evenly over strips. Bake about 1 hour or until topping is crisp and nicely browned. Frost and sprinkle with nuts.

GLAZE:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-2 tbsp. water until smooth

Mix.
