ALMOND SHORTBREAD 
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. chopped almonds
Confectioners sugar

Combine flour, sugar, butter and almonds in food processor pitted with steel chopping blade. Process until mixture is smooth and starting to stick together as if to form a dough. Or mix flour, sugar, and almonds in bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or two knives used scissor fashion. Press mixture into an 8 inch square glass baking dish. Microwave at high power 4-5 minutes, rotating dish twice, until center of dough is dry. Remove from oven and let stand directly on heat proof surface until cool. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar and cut into squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
