MY FAVORITE CHOCOLATE CREAM PIE 
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. enriched flour or 1/4 c. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa or 2 (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
2 c. milk
3 beaten egg yolks
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift sugar, flour or cornstarch, salt, and cocoa together. Add 1/2 cup of milk to this mixture and beaten egg yolks. Put the other 1 1/2 cups of milk in pan and let come to a boil, then add the milk mixture. Stir constantly until thick. Add butter and vanilla. Let cool.

Beat 3 egg whites for meringue; add 6 tablespoons sugar; beat until stiff. Fold about 1/3 meringue to pie filling, and the rest on your pie. Use baked pie shell. Brown meringue in 350 degree oven. This is a good coconut pie filling just leave out cocoa and use coconut.
