1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. cut nut meats
1 c. dates
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water

Cut dates up small. Pour boiling water over them. Add soda and mash with a fork, let cook. Cream mayonnaise, sugar and vanilla together then add the flour, salt and nutmeat. Add the dates last. Stir just enough to mix well. Bake 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
