CORN ON THE COB 
8 to 10 ears fresh corn
3 to 4 qts. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. salt

Remove husks and silks from corn just before cooking. Combine water, sugar and salt in a Dutch oven; stir to dissolve sugar and salt. Bring water to a boil, and add corn. Return to a boil, and cook 8 to 10 minutes. Drain well. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
