WHEAT GERM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. wheat germ
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 tsp. cinnamon

Mix above thoroughly and remove 1/2 cup and mix with 1/2 cup chopped nuts and set aside.

Add to remainder:

1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix well and pour into two 9 inch cake pans and sprinkle with reserved mixture and press lightly with the back of a spoon. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
