WHITE BEANS 
1 pkg. white beans (navy beans)
1 c. chopped onions (about 1 1/2 onions)
2 tbsp. oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Pieces of bacon, or ham may be used for seasonings

Let beans boil until tender (about 1 hour). Add oil to prevent sticking. Add onions and ham or bacon seasonings. Add green onions when beans begin to break up. Add more water if needed. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 tablespoon flour mixed with water to beans. Cook until tender. More water may be added if beans begin to stick.
