PECAN TARTS 
1 stick of butter
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sifted flour
Pinch of salt

ILLING:

1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and cheese; add the flour and salt. Shape into 24 small balls and press into the bottom and sides of small muffin pans. Combine all the ingredients of the filling and mix well. Spoon filling into the muffin pans. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes and then reduce the oven to 250 degrees for 10 more minutes or until lightly browned. Let cool in pan 10 minutes and then remove. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes 24 tarts.
