BANANA NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
4 ripe bananas, mashed
2 c. regular flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat vigorously. Add mashed bananas, blending well. Sift dry ingredients together; add nuts and blend into above mixture. Pour into 2 small loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
