LUCY'S BUTTERMILK COOKIES

2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. Crisco
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix together then add:

1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Pat out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
