LYONNAISE POTATOES | |
1 bag potatoes, sliced 1/4" thick & steamed until tender Grated cheese 2 lg. Spanish onion, sliced very thin 2 sticks melted butter Salt, pepper & paprika In a large roasting pan. Pour 1 ladle of butter to coat bottom of pan. Next place 1/2 potatoes to cover bottom of pan. Layer 1/2 onions on top of potatoes. Sprinkle grated cheese over top of onions. Spread remaining potatoes, then top with onions. To finish, top once more with cheese. Pour the rest of butter over top. Sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika over top. Bake uncovered in 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until top is golden brown. |
