CHRISTMAS WALNUT CAKE 
3/4 c. sherry wine
2 c. raisins
1 orange rind
4 c. walnuts
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
6 eggs
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. dark molasses
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted flour

Soak raisins in wine 1/2 hour. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift and measure dry ingredients, add alternately with molasses and flavoring, raisins and nuts. Bake in large tube pan for 2 hours at 275 degrees.
