GLAZED LEMON BREAD 
1/3 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1/2 c. chopped nuts

GLAZE:

3 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar

Blend butter and 1 cup sugar, beat in eggs (one at a time.) Sift dry ingredients, add to egg mixture alternately with milk and mix. Fold in peel and nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan 350 degrees for 1 hour or until tested done.

Glaze: Mix lemon juice and sugar. Spoon over hot loaf just out of oven. Cool about 10 minutes in pan (no longer or may stick). Cool on rack. Do not slice for 24 hours. Freezes well.
