STUFFED SQUASH 
2 med. size acorn squash
5 tart apples
1/2 stick butter, melted
1/2 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. seedless raisins
1/4 c. finely chopped pecans

Cut in half and remove seeds and fibers from squash. Place each half in baking dish side by side, cut side down. Bake in 400 degree oven for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, pre, core and chop apples. Mix apples with melted butter and syrup. Stir in raisins and pecans. Fill each center of squash with stuffing. Cover pan with foil and bake an additional 30 minutes or until tender. Cut in half to serve. Yield 8 servings.
