MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
3 tsp. vanilla
5 oz. miniature marshmallows

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat by hand. Sift flour, cocoa and salt. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 300 degrees for 35 minutes. Remove from oven, pour marshmallows on top and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 1 hour then ice with chocolate frosting below.

ICING:

1 lb. powdered sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. cream or milk
2 sticks butter
Nuts

Sift together powdered sugar and cocoa. Mix melted butter. Add cream and vanilla. Add nuts and spread on cake. This is fairly soft but will thicken after setting. Serve in small pieces. Really Rich!
