ONION CASSEROLE | |
4-5 med. size Vidalia or sweet onions, chopped 1/2 - 3/4 stick butter 1-2 tbsp. flour to make paste 1 tbsp. sugar Milk for desired consistency Steak/cook onions for 10 minutes or you can also microwave, using the same time. Using a medium size pan melt butter and add flour to make the paste. Then add sugar then add the milk for the thickness you desire. Drain all moisture or water from onions, pour thickened sauce over onions and stir. Variation: You can sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over onions. This is a good source of natural vitamins and a good way to reduce cholesterol. |
