AUNT JOANIE'S CHERRY TORTE 
CRUST:

1 c. cake flour
5 tbsp. powdered sugar
1/2 c. butter

Mix flour, powdered sugar and butter. Pat into 7 1/2 x 12-inch pan (or 8-inch square pan). Bake 15 minutes in 350 degree oven. Don't let it get too brown.

FILLING:

2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. cake flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 c. drained sour cherries
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine all filling ingredients. Fill crust. Bake 30 minutes in 350 degree oven. Top with whipped cream.
