CHERRY PIE 
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. cherry juice
1 1/2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/2 tsp. red food color
2 tbsp. butter
3 c. red drained torte cherries

In saucepan place 1/4 cup sugar, flour and salt, mix. Add cherry juice and cook until thick. Add remaining sugar and cook until glossy. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice, almond extract, food coloring and 1 tablespoon butter. Add cherries and mix gently. Let cool. Pour into 9 inch baked pie crust.
