VIRGINIA'S OVEN STEW 
2 lbs. stewing beef
1 (64 oz.) can V8 juice
1/2 c. Minute tapioca
6 med. carrots, cut in strips
6 med. onions, whole
6 med. potatoes
1 sm. can mushrooms
1 (10 oz.) box frozen peas
Salt
Pepper
Thyme

Place first six ingredients into a heavy oven type cooker with cover. Cook 3 hours at 325 degrees. One half hour before serving, add mushrooms, peas, salt, pepper and thyme.
