BUTTERSCOTCH (OR CHOCOLATE) CRUNCHIES | |
1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch or chocolate chips (Hershey's chips Do Not Melt) 1 c. peanuts 1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles 1 tbsp. peanut butter (optional) 1. Place chips in a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on medium for 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 minutes, until chips are melted. Stir until smooth (or melt using a double boiler). 2. Stir in peanuts and chow mein noodles. Mix well. 3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. Cool until hard. Makes about 30. |
