BUTTERSCOTCH (OR CHOCOLATE)
CRUNCHIES
 
1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch or chocolate chips (Hershey's chips Do Not Melt)
1 c. peanuts
1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
1 tbsp. peanut butter (optional)

1. Place chips in a medium, microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on medium for 3-1/2 to 5-1/2 minutes, until chips are melted. Stir until smooth (or melt using a double boiler).

2. Stir in peanuts and chow mein noodles. Mix well.

3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. Cool until hard.

Makes about 30.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
