This cake tasted amazing once left in the fridge overnight. Strangely, it did not taste so great just after it was baked (barely sweet/chocolatey), but after leaving it to cool and keeping it in the fridge for some hours it tasted significantly better. Topped it with shredded chocolate and some fruits for decoration. Yum yum.

This is an easy bake and very moist. I topped it off with Carmel icing.1 cup brown sugar and 1 stick of butter. Heat until boils and add 2 tablespoon milk.heat to boil again. pour over 4 cups XXX sugar. You may have to thin with milk.

Incredible cake! I used strong coffee in place of the water and it was delicious! I'm going to make cupcakes with it. I hope they come out as good! My daughter and I bake a lot of cupcakes/frostings from scratch, and this chocolate recipe is our favorite BY FAR!!!

I am not a baker and I don't really like sweets, but I felt like making something sweet this week and decided to do a chocolate cake. Their are so many recipes out there but when I saw the steps and ingredients I was soo lost. Then I stumbled on to this site and tried it. It WAS A SUCCESS. So thank you very much for your simple and delicious recipe.

This was the best chocolate cake I've ever made! I'm throwing away my Ghirardelli cake recipe that I used to make. This is a million times more delicious and moist. I followed the directions to the letter, using all organic ingredients, and it was a hit at my son's b-day party. Everyone loved it. It also made fabulous cupcakes.

OMG, everyone is right. This really is an amazing cake recipe! I will throw away all my other recipes, because this is the ultimate, and easy, too. I have a sweet tooth and adore frosting, but this cake truly does NOT need any frosting. It's a perfect dessert all by itself. Unfortunately, I left it in the pan too long, so it fell apart into a hundred pieces when I tried to remove it. But I scooped them up into a ziploc bag and brought "cake in a bag" to the party anyway. It was a huge hit, and I have to credit this recipe.

I made a sugar free version of this cake with fructose as the sweetener, and people still loved it. I think it is a very easy cake, because I am only ten and I didn't need any help, except for putting the cake into the pans.

Great reviews. Will try it too. May I know if you used a cake mixer to mix all ingredients together or just mix it casually by hand. Tks.
