BARBECUE PORK SANDWICHES | |
3 lb. or more lean pork butt 1 tbsp. whole cloves 1 sm. bottle ketchup 1 onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped 1 tsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. vinegar 1 c. liquid from meat Cover pork with water in soup pot and add whole cloves. Simmer uncovered 3 to 4 hours or until meat breaks away easily with a fork. Shred meat into small strips. Reserve liquid. For sauce, combine remaining ingredients, adding more liquid if too dry. Freezes well. Nice alternative to sloppy joes. Serve on buns. |
