GLEN'S BBQ BEANS | |
1/4 c. black beans, dry 3/4 c. Great Northern beans, dry 1 c. red beans, dry 15 oz. tomato sauce 1/4 c. brown sugar 3/8 c. molasses 1/4 c. vinegar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. apple cider, or juice 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1/4 tsp. black pepper 2 tsp. liquid smoke 1/2 onion, diced 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 3/4 tsp. pickling spice 1/2 tsp. dill seed Put pickling spice and dill seed in tea ball or cheese cloth. Soak beans overnight. Cook until almost tender. Combine sauce ingredients and simmer for 1/2 hour. Put cooked, drained beans and sauce into crock pot for 8- 10 hours on low. |
