RUSKUMSNUSK (ONE DISH MEAL,
DANISH)
 
This is an old heritage recipe, and no amounts were listed. It is usually made when the new vegetables are just ready in the garden in late spring. The meal is very similar to "hodgepodge".

new small carrots
new string beans
new small potatoes
new peas
onions, chopped
butter
milk or cream
all-purpose flour
salt and pepper

OPTIONAL:


onion salt
parsley (for garnish)

Note: Best if all vegetables are fresh from your garden.

Cook (boil) all vegetables together until tender. Drain. Add butter and cover with milk or cream. Thicken with flour. Add salt and pepper, to taste. A little onion salt may be added for flavour and parsley added for colour. Enjoy!
