STRAWBERRY JAM MICROWAVE | |
2 pkg. (16 oz.) frozen strawberries, thawed 1 pkg. (1 3/4 oz.) powdered pectin 2 1/2 c. sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice Combine strawberries and pectin in 3 quart dish. Mix well. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high 10 to 12 minutes until mixture comes to full boil. Stir twice during cooking. Remove from microwave. Stir in sugar and lemon juice. Mix well. Microwave on high for 12 to 14 minutes. Mixture should boil rapidly for 1 or 2 minutes. Skim off foam. Cool 5 to 7 minutes stirring well. Put into sterilized jars or other containers and seal. Refrigerate 2 to 3 weeks or freeze up to 1 year. Frozen other fruits can be used for variation to substitute for strawberries. |
