I am not sure why everyone loved this, I thought it was terrible! It was really doughy and tasted nothing like a pizza crust, just cooked flour.

I halved the ingredients it was enough for 2 people easily.
I used hot water & added olive oil instead of normal vegetable oil. Baked the based for around 8 mins on it's own , then added tomato puree/paste & chopped garlic then added my topppings baked for around another 15 to 20 mins ....it came out perfect and crunchy at the edges tasted very good !! mmm

Made this crust today with my children. To add flavor we added garlic and herb seasoning in with the dry ingredients. It turned out nicely!

I did not care for this at all as a pizza. I suspect it would be great Irish soda bread but it wasn't remotely like any pizza I ever had.

I am a huge pizza fanatic. I make homemade pizza dough atleast once a week along with my homemade recipe of sauce. All of my dough needs to rise for 24 hours to get the right texture and on pop up occasions I cant provide so my question is: what is the texture of this dough? Is it crunchy, flaky, soft, chewy etc...?

 Laura (Florida) replies:
I was out of yeast and was searching for a good yeastless recipe when I found this one. Judging by the 5 stars I thought it would be good. WRONG! It was terrible. It had the texture of a flat biscuit! I'm stocking up on yeast next time I go to the grocery store. :-(

 Pete (New York) replies:
This is not pizza dough. It has the texture of a muffin or soda bread, like one of the other commenters suggested. If you have ever eaten a frozen pizza, this is just like the dough from those. I do not recommend unless you are broke and can't afford to wait for yeast.

 Kristy (Maryland) replies:
It was super and easy and had good texture. However it was very plain, I would use this recipe again but add garlic and other seasonings with the dry ingredients as another commenter mentioned.

I am wondering, would this make good calzones. My boyfriend is an Italian from New York and is pretty picky about pizza, has anyone tried to make calzones from it?
