CHEESE AND SAUSAGE STRATA 
1 lb. pork sausage
1/4 c. sliced mushrooms
1/4 lb. Velveeta pasteurized process cheese spread, cubed
4 c. bread cubes
1 c. milk
4 eggs

Brown sausage; drain. Add vegetables, continue cooking 5 minutes; drain. Set aside to cool 10 minutes. Stir together sausage mixture, Velveeta cheese spread and bread cubes. Place in greased 8 inch square baking dish. Beat milk and egg. Pour over sausage mixture. Cover. Refrigerate several hours. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Remove cover. Bake 50-55 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Garnish as desired. Preparation time 20 minutes. Cooking time 1 hour. Serves 6.
