POPPY SEED PECAN BREAD 
2 1/3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. melted butter
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. all purpose flour
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 tbsp. poppy seed

Grease pans and line bottom of pans with paper. Mix all ingredients together. Pour batter into three 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch pans. Bake 50 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees.

GLAZE:

1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
1/4 c. orange juice
1/2 c. confectioners sugar
