BISCOITOS (BISCUITS) 
3 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3 beaten eggs
1 beaten egg & 1 tbsp. milk to brush on rings

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until mixture forms fine crumbs. Add 3 eggs; mix well. If dough is too stiff or dry add a little milk. Must be pliable to roll.

On a floured board roll a rope of dough. Cut into 3 inch long pieces and bring ends and press together to form a ring. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Repeat until all the dough is used. Brush rings with mixture of 1 beaten egg and 1 tablespoon milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden. These cookies are hard, good for dunking.
