BLUEBERRY HOT BREAD 
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening or butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 c. blueberries (fresh, frozen or canned, drained)
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg or ginger

Cream shortening or butter with the 3/4 cups sugar, then add egg and milk. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg or ginger. Add to the creamed mixture and stir just enough to blend. Pat into 8 x 8-inch greased pan. Sprinkle blueberries on top.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter, soft

To make topping, stir together sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter. Sprinkle on top of blueberries.

Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Serve warm.
