APPLE COBBLER CAKE 
6 med. sized tart apples, pared, quartered, cored and sliced (6 cups)
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 pkg. loaf size yellow cake mix
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, melted
Light or table cream

Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the dry cake mix over top; toss until apples are evenly coated. Spoon into buttered baking pan 8 x 8 x 2 cover.

Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees), 30 minutes; remove from oven. Mix remaining cake mix and walnuts in a medium sized bowl; drizzle melted butter over top; toss until mixture forms large crumbs. Sprinkle evenly over partially cooked apple mixture. Bake 20 minutes longer or until topping is puffed and golden. Cool slightly. Serve warm with cream.
