PEPPERNUTS 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 c. syrup
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. molasses
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. anise seed
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. coriander seed
2 tsp. baking soda
7 c. flour

Mix all the ingredients except the flour together. Mix in flour. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Pinch off, roll out in flour until not sticky. Cut in very, very small pieces. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
