1 c. white sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. ginger 2 eggs 1 tsp. allspice 1/2 tsp. liquid anise 2 sticks butter 1/2 tsp. black pepper 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. strong coffee 5 c. flour Mix all ingredients and chill overnight. Peanuts or pecans, chopped can be added. Make rolls about size of little finger and slice 1/4 inch thick. Bake in 400 degree oven for 5-8 minutes. |
