CABBAGE PATCH SOUP 
1 lb. ground turkey or beef
1 tsp. salt
1 med. onion, sliced
1 c. chopped celery
1 tsp. chili powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
2 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
2 c. thinly shredded cabbage

Heat salt in Dutch oven, add meat, saute until brown and crumbly. Add onion and celery, saute 5 minutes, add chili powder and pepper. Stir in tomatoes, (put in blender to break up), water, and beans. Simmer 1 hour. Before ready to serve, add cabbage and simmer until crisp tender.
