RICH CHRISTMAS TOM & JERRYS 
brandy (Christian Brothers)
Bacardi rum
hot water
nutmeg, for sprinkling
straws

BATTER:

1 dozen eggs, separated
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Beat egg whites until stiff and set aside. Now beat the yokes slowly, add the pound of confectioners' sugar - it will get real thick. While still beating the yokes add vanilla and cinnamon. Now add the yoke batter to the egg whites, keep beating until fluffy.

Tip: The trick to keeping batter stiff is to set batter bowl inside another bowl of ice.

TO SERVE:

Fill a mug 3/4 full of batter. Add 1/2 jigger (3/4 fl. oz.) each brandy and rum, then fill the rest of the way with hot water. Sprinkle nutmeg on top and serve with a short straw.
