BROILED CLAMS 
1 lb. clams

SAUCE:

1/2 c. sake or mirin
1/2 c. shoyu
2 tbsp. miso
4 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. gourmet powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix sauce ingredients together and bring to a boil. (Ingredients can be purchased at any Oriental shop.) Put clams on bamboo sticks and barbecue over charcoal fire.
