12 slices bread 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese 1 lb. browned breakfast meat 8 beaten eggs 2 1/4 c. milk 3/4 tsp. dry mustard Salt and pepper to taste 1 can cream of mushroom soup 1/2 c. milk 1 can sliced mushrooms (optional) Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. Break bread slices into pan. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Top with browned and drained meat. Combine eggs, milk, dry mustard, and salt and pepper. Beat well. (I use blender). Pour mixture over bread, cheese, and meat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Warm oven to 350 degrees. Before baking, combine mushroom soup, milk, and sliced mushrooms, and pour over refrigerated ingredients. Bake 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6-8. |
