BRAISED SHRIMP WITH VEGETABLES 
1 lb. fresh, uncooked lg. shrimp, shelled & deveined
8 oz. fresh broccoli, cut into pieces
8 oz. whole button mushrooms
8 oz. sliced bamboo shoots
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/2 c. chicken stock or broth
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. oyster sauce
1/4 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. grated, pared fresh ginger root
1/8 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

Heat oil in wok or heavy pan over high heat. Stir fry shrimp in oil until tender, about 3 minutes. Add broccoli to shrimp and stir fry 1 minute. Add mushrooms and bamboo shoots and stir fry 1 minute longer.
