FLOUR TORTILLAS 
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
3/4 c. boiling water

Mix flour, baking powder, salt and shortening with hands until mixture is lumpy.

Add water gradually until you have a doughy mixture. Separate into 12 little balls. Roll out with rolling pin into flat 10 inch circles. Cook on warm griddle until light brown on both sides.

Makes 1 dozen 10 inch tortillas.
